For eight years, I served as a Deputy Sheriff, ultimately being honored as the 2019 Virginia Deputy of the Year. I later oversaw the Recruiting and Background Investigation Unit for the largest sheriffâs office in Virginia, where I helped shape the next generation of deputies and built recruiting systems that other agencies would come to model.
Since then, Iâve supported departments across the country and authored a best-selling book on law enforcement recruitment.
